Â
Varietal:Â Â Chianti
Region:Â Â Italy
Cost:Â Â $9.99 – $11.99
Â
Very subtle aromas of berry (cherry and cranberry) lead you into a very middle of the road red wine. Â Good tannins will pair well with red meat or a saucy pasta. Â
Â
Recommendation:Â Â I think that most people will buy this wine simply for the bottle, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Â The Bellagio chianti won’t change your idea of what a chianti should be, but if you’re looking for a red wine that will work great as a table wine, and pairs well with Italian food or just for something to drink after a long day at work, the cost of this very simple chianti certainly makes it worth considering. Â Give it a try if you’re in the market for something new, but don’t set your expectations too high or this wine will disappoint.
Where can I buy the Bellagio/Chianti 2008 directly?
Here’s a link to WineZap where you can buy it from several places online. If you’re looking for it in a store – I’ve found it in most of my local grocers.
