I’ve been impressed and encouraged by the number of documentaries about the wine industry that I’ve seen in recent years. It’s been great to see how those from the film industry are recognizing the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into the passion of those in the wine industry. This new documentary, SOMM, follows 4 sommeliers as they try to pass the Master Sommelier exam. The full film premiers in November at the 2012 Napa Valley Film Festival, and while I won’t be there to see it, I do hope to see it once it’s released on DVD. Check out the trailer.
