Winemaker’s Notes: Enjoy our rose’ with generous aromas of fresh strawberry and floral notes leading to bright flavors of ripe berry, cherry, and hints of spring flowers. Refreshing, lively, and delicious.
My Review: I don’t know that I’ve ever seen Primitivo used in a rose’. I mean, I may be wrong, but thinking back (and looking back over nearly 10 years of notes), this may be a new one for me. A tasty, tasty new one.
In the glass the wine was a deep pink. On the nose I picked up lots of strawberry, which carried through to the mouth where the wine was juicy, refreshing, and loaded with strawberry and bright berry flavors. After a hot day of doing projects around our new house, this wine was exactly what I wanted, and it would be perfect for any backyard BBQ or patio sitting.
For $12 this wine is a great value, and one that I for one plan to keep an eye out for at my local stores so I can grab it up this summer (it gets crazy hot here in North Caroline).
Editor’s Note: I received this wine as a free sample for review.
